Will someone help me please I'm not sure how to download characters there is no button or link that lets me do so.

If there isn't a direct link for the character, there's usually a link for the autor homepage.
Check the character there.

Yes, you'll need to click on the author name, then on "HOMEPAGE", in this way you will be teleport on author site.
