Ok, ive noticed once and awhile with certain characters is that they will not show up on the select screen. in their place is a blank portrait which is unselectable. there must be a way to fix this common error? i seem to get it alot and on some chars i really wanna use.
Also, i downloaded a character. and he seems to be fine until he gets into battle. and he is a Green outline of what hes spose to be. as if the image is gone. help there if u can too :)

ok, if you say that you can not select the char because is an empty cell or box, and the cursor just skeep or jump this box, is because the folder name of the char is not the same that the char.def name or is not the same name in select.def.
There is some tools that you can try to fix the .sff file, sent me your email account since its bigger than the sice allowed.
I fix several chars sff, like camus specials, mu specials and a lot all old chars.
