well i get the standard windows xp "send/dont send" error box.

it happens around the 4th match almost every time - (mostly arcade mode). As soon as the stage loads, the music skips (like a stuck CD) and then i get the message.....its always happened - just thought it was an error everyone gets....or can it be fixed?

EDIT: and wow - "super moderator?!" do u like own slayergatsu, who's just a "moderator"?!

hey now, i'm the only possessor of my self >:( (and i'm the only one that can PWN my ass as well :P )

regarding your problem...

1) Scandisk
2) defrag
3) Anty spywere check
4) (if it still crashes) you may need to edit the register... if you have programs running in the back they should be disabled BEFORE editing the register...

:P

ah..............the error report says its the alleg40.dll...

NOTE: mind you i do have sound problems generally - i.e. music sometimes will not load on stages and 50% of the time my music doesn't play at the title screen and select screen. (jus noting in case it is relevant)

so wot do i do...?

1)
...1) Scandisk
...2) defrag
...3) Anty spywere check

2)
...1) get the new dll's to play mp3s
...2) install the dlls in the Mugen.cfg

3)
...1) pending on what version of mugen you are using you may want to Upgrade to something better
...2) you CAN try to download the NEW allegro dll and use that one (by renaming it to the current one name or else it will not be used by mugen) cross your fingers for i have personally never tryed
...3) post the ENTIRE (c++ error message that the send message lists... [possibly in an attached text file since it will be kilometric)

4) Change the computer :P

change computer wtf!!!?! mind you, i had used my mugen on some friends computers and it didnt have the problem so i know its my comp.

that alleg42 rename was a longshot and guess what....it didnt work!

>.<

as for putting in pluginz, i searched this issue before i posted it and came across someone saying the same thing - but i dont know what exact windows media player plugins to put in the mugen/plugin directory (if i should even be doing that). I've got sound playback through total recorder and my sound is basically realtek AC'97 (if that helps).

since ive entered a few plugins (using my initiative) it hasnt happend *so far* but still, the sound doesnt play EVERY time (especially the title screen + select screen).

if it happens again ile post the C++ but any advice for now on what plugins to put in?

---------------------------

EDIT: OH might aswell post my specs ;)

Easynote H535 Laptop
XP Home Edition
Pentium 4 3.2GHz (2 CPU's)
(dont laugh) NVidia 64Mb GeForce Go FX 5100
Realtek AC'97 Audio (sound playback through total recorder)
60Gb HDD
512mb RAM
DX.9.0c

hold on! the pc it's PERFECT i would say

maybe you *should* format the HD... and start a fresh pc.... ...

anyways search for in_mp3.dll (or take a trip to the MugenFighter guild forums, i posted there some solutions and i don't even remember them :P, teorically all you have to do is search for it and open the topic about it...)

SOON the plug ins will be (if possible) hosted on MugeNation B)

thanks again 4 the help slayer - sounds doesnt crash the game no more (stil get the silent treatment on the title and select screen 20% of the time but no biggie :))

1 more thing - my mugen randomly (and i mean RANDOMLY) just freezes during play. No error message, no debug info, nothing. The music still plays but the action is frozen. this happens regularly during a fight..............why?

EDIT: SORRY about the double post (but u like my avatar right?) :fiuu:

overbuffering (maybe) is your computer frozen? or does it work just fine?

any chars that this happens with? (i mean if they are ever the same or only SOME chars...)

so.. keep the disk clean, you don't want to fromat again so don't let it get "dirty" scan dis once every week AT LEAST

well i don't have much to say about the problem it self... it MUST have some pattern... like helpers coming out... or stuff like that...

Bug check:
1) make a new mugen and try fighing only with Kfm (only selectable char) in his own stage)

2) add 1 char at the time and play untill the problem happens...
-----

you find the problem thath way...

Becouse not all keys go well together (let say it from a man like me that con only use keyboard)......

I sufggest to use mainly letters for configuration.......

Here are my configuration

start: 1
Up: i
Down: k
Left: j
Right: k
x: q
y: w
z: e
a: a
b: s
c: d

Warning: this is the best configuration possible, but some combination cannot be execute like:

a+b+c (q,w,e together not seen all by PC)
x+y+z (a,s,d ..... the same problem)

a+b+x+y -> POSSIBLE ALL TOGHETHER

more than 4 buttons (plus "pad") not possible

....

this becouse keyborad can understand only a maximum of input, I think.......
